Kim Kardashian's SKIMS has spent its Nike partnership rummaging through the archive, and the latest pull is the Waffle Racer, the slim nylon runner Nike built in the 1970s around Bill Bowerman's waffle-iron outsole.
This pair keeps the proportions low and narrow. Navy nylon covers the quarter, with navy suede wrapping the toe, the mudguard and the heel for a two-texture finish that reads almost tonal. A pale pink suede Swoosh runs the length of the sidewall, picked up again on the heel tab, and the contrast carries through to white laces and a white tongue with a small branded label. Underneath, a thin white foam midsole sits on a gum waffle outsole with the studded tread the model is named for.
The NikeSKIMS Waffle Racer is expected to release on November 10th at 15:00 UTC for $130 through Nike and select retailers.
