The 740 was a daily runner in New Balance's early-aughts rotation, and it has been pulled out of the archive again — this time as the 740 Bungee Lace, dressed in grey and silver.
The upper works in soft grey mesh, with a tonal dot pattern printed across the toe and quarter panels. Silver synthetic overlays wrap the toe, the eyestays and the heel, catching the light against the matte base, and a polished silver N sits on the side. Grey laces run through the eyelets, with a padded collar and tongue behind them. Underneath, a white midsole carries ABZORB branding at the heel over a white outsole, keeping the whole thing in one quiet register.
The New Balance 740 Bungee Lace in grey and silver is expected to release on November 12th at 15:00 UTC through New Balance and select retailers.
