Brain Dead has spent years picking through the adidas catalogue, and this time the Los Angeles label went climbing, reworking the Five Ten NIAD with the Three Stripes' outdoor arm. Five Ten has been part of adidas since 2011, and the NIAD line takes its name from the Nose in a Day speed run on El Capitan.
The slipper is built on a shaggy, hairy suede upper in mottled teal, wrapped by a thick black rand that climbs over the toe and runs the length of the midsole. A deep maroon panel caps the heel and carries the 5.10 logo in white, with a red Brain Dead tab stitched at the collar and a second red tab sitting at the throat. Purple elastic pulls at the heel and instep finish it, over a flat black outsole.
The Brain Dead x adidas Five Ten NIAD is expected to release on November 6th at 14:00 UTC for $180 through adidas and select retailers.
