College football season has Nike working through campus colours again, and Columbus gets the Air Max 90 in a scarlet-and-black build. Tinker Hatfield's design arrived in 1990 as the Air Max III, and it still takes team colours as well as any runner the Swoosh has made.
The upper is built from shaggy scarlet suede across the toe, side panels and heel, broken up by black at the mudguard, eyestay and heel counter. A speckled black-and-white treatment runs through the lace panel and across the heel overlay, with a black Swoosh laid over the red and black laces threading through black eyelets. Underneath, a black midsole carries a scarlet Air window framed in striped black and white, sitting on a grey outsole.
The Nike College Air Max 90 (Ohio State) is expected to release on November 3rd at 15:00 UTC for $140 through Nike and select retailers, with the launch running on SNKRS.
