Few silhouettes have come back around as firmly as the Speedcat, and Anti Social Social Club has taken its turn with it on the PUMA x ASSC Speedcat Leather. PUMA built the original in 1999 as a fireproof driving shoe for Formula 1, and the low, narrow shape here is the same one, with the Los Angeles label's fingerprints on top.
The upper is black suede, dark enough to read almost navy under the light, with a woven texture panel running along the lateral quarter. Pink and yellow piping traces the length of that panel like a livery stripe, and the silver formstrip curves above it. PUMA's wordmark sits in white at the heel, a small cat badge marks the toe, and an ASSC woven tag hangs off the lateral side in black, white and pink. A pink lace dubrae and a flat black midsole with a thin gum-free rubber sole finish it.
The PUMA x ASSC Speedcat Leather is expected to release on November 20th at 05:00 UTC for $120 through PUMA and select retailers.
