Nike’s Mad 90 Pack Recasts Four Iconic Football Boots as Exclusive Air Max 90 Styles

Nike’s Mad 90 Pack features four football-inspired expressions of the Air Max 90.

The new sportswear silhouettes take after the original Hypervenom, Mercurial Vapor 2002, Total 90 Laser and Tiempo Nike Football boots.

Each style is joined by a complementary apparel capsule that draws inspiration from global football communities, expressing a new vision of football culture that extends far beyond the pitch.

The Mad 90 Pack of Nike footwear and apparel will be available throughout the world beginning May 11 at nike.com and select Nike partner retailers, and on May 21 across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and China.

Nike is introducing the Mad 90 Pack: an exclusive footwear and apparel capsule that connects some of the most iconic Nike Football boots of the past 25 years to the present era of sportswear and football culture.

The Mad 90 pack features four football-inspired expressions of the Air Max 90 alongside complementary apparel. Together, they express a new vision of football culture that extends far beyond the pitch.

Each piece carries the attitude, energy and emotion of a specific football era that lives on in memory, embodying the creativity and fearlessness of Nike Football while extending this inspiration to a new generation of athletes and fans.

The Air Max 90 Hypervenom takes after the original Hypervenom, an iconic boot debuted in 2013 for players who wanted to shake defenders, create chaos in tight spaces, and own the spotlight through confidence and attitude. Today’s silhouette seamlessly fuses iconography and design lines from both the Hypervenom and the Air Max 90, casting the shoe in colors and materials that closely resemble the original boot — adapting its iconic look and performance through a sportswear lens.

The Air Max 90 Mercurial draws inspiration from the Mercurial Vapor 2002, a beloved boot that changed how footballers and fans thought about speed: moving fast, reacting even quicker, and playing on the edge of control. Today’s silhouette adapts the fluid lines and color shifting of the original boot, creating a fresh take on the visual language of early 2000s football. A football boot tongue provides an additional, authentic touch that applies the look of on-pitch performance to modern sportswear style.

The Air Max 90 Laser 90 follows in the footsteps of the Total 90 Laser, a classic boot that represented the precision, power and ruthless efficiency of some of the top footballers of the early 2000s. Today’s sportswear adaptation emulates the boot’s iconic skeleton graphic, seen through a transparent rubber outsole. Strike zone details from the original boot give the contemporary silhouette a toe-down look that closely resembles the on-pitch design, and Total 90 branding replaces the classic Nike Air badge at the heel.

The Air Max 90 Tiempo adapts the 2005 Tiempo through a modern sportswear lens, bringing forward the energy of a boot that represented football at its most expressive — when the game was played with joy first. Today’s reinterpretation includes the original boot’s premium leather, distinctive stitching, diamond quilting and collar lining split in a contemporary design built with an unconventional rebel twist.

Each silhouette pairs with complementary Mad 90 Pack apparel inspired by classic Nike Football boots and the communities that carry forward their football legacy. The Hypervenom capsule draws on a fusion of identities in Los Angeles, where self-expression, grit and community drive the movement; Mercurial-inspired sportswear speaks to the Korean Wave, or the global rise of Korean culture; Total 90 apparel features classic hits of yellow in a callback to early 2000s Nike Football pieces that brought a new era of English football culture to the global stage; and the Tiempo capsule blends football culture with an authentically Chinese punk rock spirit.
