What is it? A limited-edition apparel and on-field collection from Nike, the University of Georgia and Outkast, in collaboration with Class Trip, celebrates the first Georgia vs. Florida football game ever played in Atlanta.
What’s included? The collection includes a full suite of apparel created through the lens of André 3000 and Big Boi, drawn directly from the artists’ personal style. The range includes a varsity jacket, football jerseys, rugby shirts, a satin bomber, heavyweight fleece hoodie, Max90 graphic T-shirts, headwear and more.
When is it available? The Outkast U collection launches October 27 across SNKRS, Class Trip and select Nike retail partners in Atlanta. The full collection will follow October 28 at nike.com and select retail locations, with a game-day pop-up at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on October 31.
In 1995, André 3000 stood on a New York stage in front of a room that didn’t take Atlanta music seriously and said six words that changed hip-hop: “The South got something to say.”
On October 31, Georgia and Florida will meet in Atlanta for the first time in the football rivalry’s history. The game has called Jacksonville home since 1933, but this year, it heads north. To mark the moment, Nike is uniting the Bulldogs and Outkast in a limited-edition apparel and on-field collection created in collaboration with Class Trip, bringing Athens to Atlanta.
“This started over lunch with André,” says Brian Francis, Founder, Class Trip. “He was telling stories about driving up to Athens to watch the Dawgs. Then we saw Georgia vs. Florida was headed to Atlanta for the first time ever. Georgia’s football and its music, together in the city that made Outkast. They put Atlanta on the map. This is our thank you.”
Nike and Class Trip built the collection from the artists’ own wardrobes, pulling references directly from André 3000 and Big Boi’s personal style over the years. Working hand in hand with the Outkast and University of Georgia teams, they blended the iconography of both into one mark: the Georgia G, adorned with Outkast’s signature crown. It runs through the collection alongside a script that reads, “University of Georgia, Outkast 1996,” and the number 96 sits on every jersey. That was the year Outkast released ATLiens and a young safety named Kirby Smart patrolled the Georgia secondary.
“We wanted to create something as timeless as their music,” says Jon Tietz, Creative Director, Class Trip. “Think of the ‘Roses’ video. André and Big Boi, two crews, two completely different styles, same school. The yin and the yang. Every piece had to feel like it walked right out of that hallway.”
The collection is led by a red wool varsity jacket with black leather sleeves, chenille patches and chain-stitch embroidery, with “Georgia” and “Outkast” across the back. Football jerseys come in a cropped mesh practice cut and a heavyweight cotton retro, numbered 96 and lettered Outkast across the shoulders. Rugby shirts come with a white chest stripe and a red-and-black hoop. A satin bomber, heavyweight fleece hoodie, Max90 heavyweight graphic T-shirts and hand-drawn pieces inspired by senior cords carry graphics such as “So Fresh, So Clean.” Cord caps in Georgia script, a snapback hat and bucket hats round out the range.
The collaboration further comes to life through performance equipment and premium sideline apparel created exclusively for Georgia athletes, coaches and staff for their game against Florida.
Eye-shield decals and skullcaps feature Georgia and Outkast crown graphics alongside “So Fresh” and “So Clean” treatments, carrying the collaboration’s story directly onto the field, while wristbands, mouthguards and three styles of gloves extend athletes’ opportunities for Georgia x Outkast expression.
The on-field and sideline styles complete a collection that celebrates elite football performance and the revolutionary sound of the South, honoring the communities and creative energy that continue to move both football and culture forward.
The Georgia x Outkast campaign was shot in Athens over the summer with six Nike NIL athletes: cornerback Ellis Robinson IV, safety KJ Bolden, linebacker Chris Cole, tight ends Kaiden Prothro and Elyiss Williams, and wide receiver Talyn Taylor. Together, they restaged familiar frames from Outkast’s photo history.
