Damar Hamlin Joins Under Armour as Brand Ambassador, Championing Mental Wellness for the Next Generation

For Damar Hamlin, impact has always extended well beyond the game.

In his sixth season, the NFL professional football athlete is joining Under Armour as a brand ambassador, bringing his passion for community impact to the brand's continued efforts to support the next generation of athletes.

In addition to competing in Under Armour’s cleats and gloves on the field, Hamlin will represent the brand as the athlete ambassador for Protect This Mind , UA’s new mental wellness initiative designed to help student-athletes access trusted resources, build stronger support systems and develop skills that support lifelong wellbeing. As the public face of Protect This Mind, Hamlin will use his platform and share his own experiences to help young athletes understand the importance of prioritizing mental wellbeing.

“We know that participating in sport can give young people so much—confidence, resilience and the drive to work hard—but it can also bring challenges and pressures that aren’t always visible. I’m proud to join Under Armour and be part of Protect This Mind because I want to help the next generation navigate those challenges. It’s about letting young athletes know that it’s okay to ask for help, prioritize their wellbeing and lean on the people around them.”

Beyond his impact on the field, Hamlin has built a reputation as a dedicated advocate for youth and community empowerment through the work of his own foundation, The Chasing M’s Foundation . Over the years, he and his foundation have impacted countless lives through youth camps and programming, donation drives, CPR and AED training, and more. Hamlin’s commitment to creating positive change aligns closely with Under Armour's belief that supporting athletes means investing in their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

“Damar’s commitment to his community—and the way he consistently shows up for young people—is exactly what we value in our athletes. He is an exceptional football player who continues to use his platform for good, and we look forward to joining forces with him through Protect This Mind and future initiatives.”

Together, Hamlin and Under Armour aim to create a culture in which prioritizing mental wellbeing is recognized as an essential part of every athlete’s journey.

The 2026 season marks the second year of Under Armour's return to the NFL. Hamlin joins the brand's football roster, which includes Justin Jefferson, DeVonta Smith, Jonathan Taylor, Jake Ferguson, Zay Flowers, Tee Higgins, Luther Burden III and Nick Emmanwori.
